A mosque explosion on Monday in Peshawar, Pakistan, left at least 28 people dead and 150 others hurt. According to the local media, the explosion was brought on by a possible suicide attack.

After the Zuhr prayers, the explosion happened at roughly 1:40 pm close to the Police Lines area in Peshawar.

The blast's effects caused one of the mosque's sides to collapse. Debris on the ground was visible in a video taken inside the mosque.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif Condemned

The suicide attack inside a mosque that targeted police lines in Peshawar has been vehemently condemned by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

He claimed in a statement on Monday that the attack on the mosque is evidence that the attackers are unrelated to Islam.

Terrorists, according to Shehbaz Sharif, want to instil fear by focusing on people who are defending Pakistan on the job. The Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan's steadfast dedication to eradicating terrorism. He claimed that every institution and the entire country are working together to eradicate terrorism. He claimed that the nation as a whole honours its martyrs.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's deteriorating law and order situation will be addressed, according to Shehbaz Sharif. The centre will work with the provinces to strengthen their anti-terrorism capabilities.

The prime minister prayed for the higher ranks of martyrs while expressing sympathy to the grieving families.

How attackers entered the police line area

According to the sources, before the point of attack there are three check posts installed on the way and attackers some how managed to cross all three check points without being detained. It shows that security is not up to the mark to capture these culprits even at police line.

There is a huge chaos that Taliban network is getting stronger with the coming days in KPK. Some it is not official yet, but it seems as if the activity and attack is done by Pakistan Taliban. They seemed very active in KPK and USA troops left Afghanistan. We hope things get better but these types of attack are not the good signs for country which is already fighting against terrorism, poor economy and political issues.
